Some friends and I went out to forest park to check out The Urban Assault Ride. It's basically a big corporate alleycat race. It sounded cool, but the required helmet and the $120 price tag per team scared us away from participating.
We went to the start and rode around to a few of the check points and then went to the finish and watched bike limbo. These two women killed it.
For some reason people seemed amazed at fixed gear bikes.
Also the people putting on the event seemed to keep talking to me. Why?
Had a good lunch at Tin Can, then went home.
And made it home just in time, before the rain came pouring down.
