I saw the original in the theater when I was a kid. It was a gory fun time. This one looks like it could be a remake that could be well worth doing. I know I want to see it in 3D.

Makes complete sense to me. Super piranhas survive in a hidden under water cave system with nothing to eat but rocks. Normal piranhas would die, but starvation only serves as steroids for super piranhas.
I watched Snakes on a Plane and I'll watch this. =)
