We went and saw this last night. I was surprised it was showing at Frontenac. But it is a small art house comedy. I was expecting way more of just a moronic comedy in the Step Brothers vein.
Had I known that it was directed by Miguel Arteta, and had my brain been able to know that he was the person responsible for Chuck and Buck, The Good Girl and one of my favorite episodes of Freaks & Geeks. I would've had a better idea of the type of movie I was walking into.
It had plenty of laughs. Plenty of awkward moments. John C. Reiliy was awesome (not a real shocker).
You don't have to run out to see it in the theater, but it is well worth checking out at some point.
And make sure you stick around for the credits for a few extra scenes.
