Mission of Burma played here last night. It was their first time ever playing in St. Louis.
I had loved their music since the late 80s. So I had to go see them play. It could be a true once in a lifetime chance.
When they played their old songs the show was great. Problem was they didn't really play that many of them. They played a lot of the newer stuff they put out. Which I hate to say just isn't that good.
There was also a hint of sadness in seeing a seminal band like them play to a meager crowd at a small club. I mean the show wasn't even sold out.
There was enough good in the evening that I enjoyed it, but it certainly didn't live up o what I hoped it would've been.
