Although it's not really because I believe in family.  It's more that I hate the consumer whores we have all become. That people are so driven by sales on crap they don't need, and the corporate greed hat forces people to work to sell you that crap, when they should get a day off.

At a time when a worker couldn't stand up for this idiocy, for fear of easily being replaced by the countless unemployed willing to take their spot, just to have any job.

I would also strongly suggest not shopping the day after thanksgiving either.
