The catch was we had a pitbull at the time and we needed a backup home for him if the dog hated him.
We came home one day and the kitten had climbed over a baby gate into the room the dog was kept in. They were curled up on the dogs bed together. So we kept him.
Alfie was fat and dirty. But he was a nice mellow cat.
He died last night around 10pm.
It will be weird without him around.
